MY
STORY
She's a 21st century troubadour.
JoAnne has been a professional singer and guitarist since she was sixteen years old. Her first music job was playing Disneyland's Hootenanny Nights with her folk group The Fourmost. They shared the bill with a young skinny singer named Hoyt Axton and went on to win Best Vocal Group in the Hollywood Bowl Battle of the Bands.
Her musical ventures have taken her to Indonesia where she played in a bluegrass band in Montie Montona Jr.'s Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and to Los Angeles singing back-up vocals for Iron Butterfly in the "20 Years After: Woodstock Reunion Concert". She co-authored songs that charted in the top ten of Top 100 Country Hits across Europe, won Nashville's Music Row Magazine's Discovery Award for her CD HOMETOWN BEAUTY QUEEN, won a Silver Mike Award for Best Radio Commercial, cofounded the Burbage Theater in Los Angeles and was the opening act for Billy Preston, Lee Greenwood and Sawyer Brown. You may have seen her in television commercials as an actress in Home Depot, Verizon, Geico, Silver Centrum, Dunkin' and others,
Performing for First Lady Nancy Reagan's backyard BBQ on the 4th of July was a red letter day as was singing for President Carter's Habitat for Humanity.
The titles of her other two CDs are 500 MILES and COUNTRIFIED, both critically well-received. She has performed extensively throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County areas performing in hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, stadiums, coffeehouses, private events and houses of worship. Currently, you can catch her act in local venues in Tustin, Irvine and Newport Beach.
